OxiGone 150 – 0.5% Palladium CATOX Catalyst

  •  OxiGone 150 is a PGM purification catalyst comprised of 0.5% Pd on 2-4mm Al2O3 beads.
  • OxiGone 150 removes VOCs, Hydrocarbons, CO, H2, and O2 by catalyzing the oxidation of these target molecules into primarily CO2 and/or H2O. Applications include the purification of Hydrogen, Oxygen, CO2, CH4, and N2.
  • OxiGone 150 has an excellent temperature activity profile for oxidizing the target molecules and can help meet tight outlet purification specifications such as beverage grade CO2 and fuel-cell Hydrogen specifications.
  • OxiGone 150 and other catalysts in the OxiGone product line are used to purify Electrolyzer produced Hydrogen by reacting residual O2 with H2 in a Deoxidation tower to form water. This water is later removed in a Drying step, often combined with the catalytic tower on the same skid to be sold as a Deoxidation Dryer unit.

Key features

  •  High activity for contaminant destruction or O2 removal at low temperatures
  •  No pre-activation required for standard CATOX operation
  • Long catalyst lifetime in clean applications such as Electrolyzer Hydrogen Purification and other treated gas-streams.
  • Capable of thorough destruction of target contaminants when operated in the recommended temperature range

Application areas

  • Hydrogen De-Oxidation
  • CO2 purification for e-Fuel production
  • Electrolytic Oxygen Purification

Use cases

  •  Many projects totaling > 350 MW of Electrolytic Hydrogen have been realized utilizing Research Catalysts’ Deoxidation reactor designs and catalysts.
