Birdy Hydrogen Cooling System Description

  • Birdy is a hydrogen cooling system that uses R744 as its refrigerant, a KM with particularly low GWP. The overall system enables the cooling of T40 or T20 at the dispenser. In addition, the chiller can be used for T0 refuelling.
  • Birdy is designed for printed circuit heat exchangers (PCHE) and provides the required cooling capacity for B2B refueling in accordance with SAE J2601 standards for hydrogen refueling.
  • The Birdy hydrogen cooling system is designed for ambient temperatures from -40°C to +50°C.
  • Kustec's control system, which is specially tailored for hydrogen cooling, guarantees high efficiency and reliability.
