Magnesium Oxide (MgO) Insulated Thermocouples for Hydrogen Applications

  • Mineral Insulated Thermocouple temperature probe available ready to use in types B, E, J, K, N, R, S, & T
  • Available as full MgO insulated thermocouples, or with a transition to thermocouple extension wire.
  • Temperature Ranges:
    • B: 871 to 1705 °C (less susceptible to drift than R & S)
    • E: -200 to 871 °C (Highest thermoelectric output of common calibrations)
    • J: 0 to 760 °C (Oxidizes rapidly at temperatures above 530 °C)
    • K: 0 to 1260 °C (Mostly used above 530 °C)
    • N: 0 to 1260 °C (Offers longer life than Type K in presence of sulfur)
    • R & S: 0-1480 °C (Recommended for high temperature)
    • T: -200 to 370 °C
  • Sheath Materials: Inconel, Stainless Steel & Platinum
  • Sheath Diameter: 0.010”-.750”
  • Certification: Individual or Lot Certification, Special Limits of Error
  • Megger tested to ensure dryness of MgO insulator
