coaxial valves MK / FK direct acting
Compact and robust design:
Thanks to the flow-optimized, concentric arrangement of the actuator and media flow, coaxial valves are particularly space-saving and mechanically durable. They are ideal for demanding environments where reliability and longevity are essential – such as in mobile or stationary hydrogen systems.
H₂-compatible materials and high media resistance:
These valves are specifically designed for the safe handling of hydrogen, as well as aggressive, reactive, or ultra-pure media. They offer excellent chemical resistance and meet the strict requirements for tightness and material selection demanded by hydrogen applications.
Reliable operation under high pressure:
In hydrogen storage, testing, and refueling systems, high pressures are standard. Coaxial valves are developed to perform reliably under these conditions, featuring high pressure resistance and consistent switching performance.
Wide range of designs and flexible customization:
Whether 2/2-way or 3/2-way, direct-acting or pilot-operated – the broad variety of configurations enables optimal adaptation to diverse technical needs. This flexibility allows for tailor-made solutions across the hydrogen industry.

coax® – Valve Technology that Drives the Hydrogen Future
müller co-ax gmbh delivers cutting-edge valve solutions for every stage of the hydrogen value chain – from production to application:
Our coax® valves are specifically engineered for hydrogen-based systems. They combine a compact design, high flow rates, wide pressure ranges, and the use of hydrogen-resistant materials – making them ideal for installation in tight or space-constrained environments.
With integrated limit switches, valve positions (open/closed) can be directly and reliably detected – a critical feature for automated systems and safety-relevant applications.
A standout feature: The magnetically operated coax® valves are uniquely designed to remain leak-tight to the atmosphere even if the seals begin to wear. In other words, there is no operational connection to the external environment – ensuring zero hazardous leakage, no skin contact with media, and maximum operational safety.
These closed valve assemblies are the perfect choice for demanding media such as gaseous hydrogen, liquid ammonia, or methanol – and are ideally suited for use in explosive environments.
