The HEC-A1000 is a zero-gap industrial alkaline electrolyser with hydrogen-production capacity of 1000 m³/h. The model operates at 1.6 MPa, equivalent to 16 bar, across a 30–100% load range, with hydrogen purity of at least 99.8% before purification and at least 99.999% after purification. The hydrogen dew point of no more than -65 °C after purification, DC power consumption of no more than 4.5 kWh per Nm³ H₂, and startup times of 30 minutes warm or under two hours cold. Its electrolysis design uses a porous nickel electrode, a zero-gap membrane-electrode assembly to reduce contact resistance, and a composite membrane, positioning the unit for large-scale industrial hydrogen production while omitting the ambiguous shared rated-power value.
