Battery Safety Sensor - Marquardt

  • The Battery Safety Sensor is designed for continuous monitoring of modern high-voltage battery systems. Its integrated multi-sensor technology combines acceleration, pressure, temperature, hydrogen and carbon monoxide sensing in one central sensor solution.
  • This combination enables the early detection of mechanical impacts, gas formation and thermal changes within the battery system. Three-dimensional acceleration sensing detects mechanical impacts on the battery pack, while pressure sensing can identify changes caused by gas formation in damaged battery cells. In addition, hydrogen and carbon monoxide detection provides indications of electrolyte decomposition and thermal degradation.
  • By combining multiple sensing technologies in one compact device, the Battery Safety Sensor supports efficient battery condition monitoring and helps enable the early detection of potentially safety-critical events.
