The GREEN ELECTROLYZER is a PEM-based electrolyzer that converts renewable energy into hydrogen, serving as a storable energy carrier or for industrial processes. It is designed for autonomous operation, requires minimal maintenance, and can operate efficiently across a wide range of loads. It is ideal for Power-to-X applications, including hydrogen storage, methanation, fuel cell vehicles, and industrial use. The system is compact, scalable, and compatible with gas grids, offering high efficiency and environmental benefits. With a high efficiency of up to 80% at 2 A/cm² and 76% at 3 A/cm², it can produce hydrogen at pressures up to 40 bar, directly connectable to natural gas infrastructure. The GREEN ELECTROLYZER is also characterized by a quick response time, with a cold start time of just a few minutes, and is suitable for remote operation. It is built with stacks from Giner Inc., known for their high current density and efficiency, and is designed for a lifetime of more than 20 years with over 80,000 hours of operation. The hydrogen produced is clean, with low residual oxygen and dew point, making it suitable for various industrial applications.
iGas energy GmbH is a German technology company founded in 2016 by chemical engineer Karl-Heinz Lentz with the goal of advancing a sustainable, circular economy. The company develops, produces and supplies systems that recover valuable resources and energy from what would otherwise be waste, with a focus on renewable hydrogen production and innovative gas technology. Its solutions include high-pressure PEM electrolysis systems to convert excess renewable electricity into hydrogen and process-engineering plants that extract energy and materials from organic waste. iGas energy is part of the SK Group, benefiting from the group’s expertise in automation, high-pressure and rectifier technologies. The company is headquartered in Stolberg, Germany.
