Beckhoff Automation GmbH & Co. KG Beckhoff Automation GmbH & Co. KG is a German PC-based industrial automation and control technology provider supplying EtherCAT-based measurement and control systems across the hydrogen value chain, from electrolysis and fuel cell production to compression, storage, and refueling. The company's high-resolution EtherCAT terminals (e.g., EL3008-0003) record individual cell voltages, currents, and temperatures in electrolyzers and fuel cells in real time, while its ELX series terminals provide intrinsically safe interfaces for hazardous hydrogen environments, used by Greenlight Innovation in electrolyzer and fuel cell test stations (including systems for testing 4 MW electrolyzer stacks). Beckhoff's TwinCAT-based control technology also powers H2 Powercell's H2PowerCube, a container-based system integrating electrolyzers, fuel cells, and battery storage cascading up to 1.2 MW. The company has automated over 125,000 wind turbines and extensive solar manufacturing equipment, positioning it across the entire renewable-to-hydrogen energy chain.
