Hydrogen Pressure Reflief Device - BPAV™ - Buckling Pin API Valve

BS&B produces fast acting/full opening buckling pin activated pressure relief devices (inline and angle discharge) designed to protect personnel, equipment and the environment from the dangers of overpressure.
Buckling pin pressure relief devices combine the accuracy of rupture disks with the ability to be ‘field- reset’ while remaining installed after an overpressure event.
Buckling pin technology provides outstanding resistance to operating pressure conditions.
Buckling pin devices are well suited to cyclic service pressure conditions.
Operating under compression, the buckling pin is not subject to tensile fatigue failure.
The BPRV can be subjected to pressure cycles up to its maximum operating pressure ratio with negligible impact to service life.

Sizes from 1" x 1½" to 8" x 10" (25mm x 40mm to 200mm x 250mm)
A back pressure independent device that is suitable for variable or constant back pressures
Externally reset in minutes, without the need to open the pipeline
Continuous processing (fast inline external reset)
Hazardous service (limits operator exposure)
High flow capacity – no orifice design with high Kd of 0.8 for Gas and 0.686 for Liquid
High operating pressure to set pressure ratio, 95% on minimum.

European Pressure Equipment Directive “CE” marked
