The DA-600S-Catalytic is a smart gas detector/transmitter designed for detecting combustible gases, particularly hydrocarbons, using a catalytic sensing principle. The sensor operates by generating heat during gas oxidation, where combustible gases react with oxygen, causing a temperature change that is converted into an electrical signal via a Wheatstone bridge circuit. The device features a 2.4-inch TFT LCD display that shows real-time gas concentration and status information, along with RGB LED indicators for visual alerts. It supports auto-sampling using an internal micro-pump, enabling continuous gas detection even in difficult installation environments. Designed for hazardous environments, the detector has an explosion-proof structure and supports multiple communication outputs including 4–20 mA analog, RS485 Modbus, and relay outputs. It measures combustible gases in the range of 0–100% LEL and operates reliably under harsh environmental conditions.

Use Cases

  • Detection of combustible gases (e.g., hydrocarbons) in industrial environments
  • Gas leak monitoring in hazardous areas (Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21, Zone 22)

Capabilities

  • Measures combustible gas concentration in 0–100% LEL range
  • Provides 4–20 mA analog output, RS485 Modbus communication, and relay outputs
  • Supports user-configurable alarm levels and alarm types (HIGH/LOW combinations)
  • Enables automatic calibration without opening enclosure
  • Operates in harsh environments: -40°C to 55°C and up to 95% RH (non-condensing)
  • Continuous monitoring using suction-based sampling system
