The Hydrogen Purification System, specifically the RCT HyMax, is designed to purify hydrogen generated through water electrolysis. It removes oxygen impurities and residual water using a catalytic reaction in a de-aerator and molecular sieves in a dryer, achieving a 5.0 grade purity level. The system ensures high purity hydrogen with a dew point of ≤-70°C and oxygen content of ≤5 ppm, making it ideal for applications requiring high-quality hydrogen.

Use Cases

  • Hydrogen and related industrial applications

Capabilities

  • Purifies hydrogen generated by water electrolysis
  • Supports hydrogen treatment capacities of 200, 500, or 1000 Nm³/h
  • Delivers hydrogen at temperatures ≤ 40 °C
  • Achieves hydrogen purity of 5.0 grade (≥99.999%)
RCT GH GmbH RCT GH GmbH (RCT Hydrogen), founded in 2024 through a strategic alliance between RCT Holding (51% stake) and China's Jiangsu Guofu Hydrogen Energy Equipment (Guofuhee, 49% stake), is a hydrogen equipment manufacturer headquartered in Constance, Germany that began manufacturing electrolyser stacks in Saarbrucken, Germany in 2026, providing alkaline pressurized electrolyser technology aimed at supporting medium- and large-scale industrial hydrogen initiatives through a 'hydrogen-as-a-service' business model. The company launched operations at its new electrolyzer manufacturing facility in Saarbrucken as part of a joint venture with Bruck (a German manufacturer of forged and ring-rolled products), with the facility designed for a target annual production capacity of up to 250 MW, beginning production with the assembly of a 5 MW electrolyzer scheduled for delivery and commissioning at a German industrial site in 2026, with additional projects exceeding 30 MW of combined electrolysis capacity currently in development. RCT Hydrogen's integrated systems incorporate key components supplied by Chinese partner Guofuhee (operating through its German subsidiary GF Hydrogen Europe GmbH), with TUV-certified technology and a preliminary agreement signed for delivery of two 2.5 MW electrolyzer systems to industrial customers, positioning RCT to enable cost-effective and reliable green hydrogen production by transitioning to local European production and eliminating import dependence. As Dr. Peter Fath (founder) and Dr. Eric Ruland (Vice President Sales and Products) drive the company's vision of triggering a real hydrogen boom by enabling industrial hydrogen use at reasonable costs based on renewable-electricity-powered grids, RCT Hydrogen continues scaling its German-Chinese collaborative manufacturing model to advance the European green hydrogen equipment supply chain.
