The MD-Series Gas Dryers from Perma Pure are monotube gas drying systems that use Nafion membrane tubing to selectively remove water vapor from gas samples while preserving other components (analytes). These dryers are capable of achieving dew points as low as –40 °C and are designed for precision moisture control in analytical and process applications. The system operates by passing the sample gas through the Nafion tubing while a dry purge gas flows outside the tubing in a countercurrent configuration. Due to the partial pressure gradient, water vapor permeates through the Nafion membrane into the purge gas stream, producing a dry sample gas output. The MD-Series is available in multiple configurations, including tubing outer diameters (0.050", 0.070", 0.110") and housing materials such as polypropylene, fluorocarbon, and stainless steel. Various end fitting sizes and coiled configurations are also available to meet application-specific requirements.
