The FAAM-PK-75 is an advanced anion-exchange membrane with a ternary ammonium group, reinforced with PK, and has a thickness of 75 μm. It is designed for alkaline electrolysis using liquid aqueous KOH (6–12 M KOH) within a temperature range of room temperature to 100°C. The membrane is supplied in a dry form as a thin brown foil and requires pretreatment with DI water or aqueous KOH. It is self-activating in the cell after contact with aqueous caustic electrolyte, and its hydration level can be controlled by KOH concentration and temperature. It offers low resistance, high selectivity, and high stability in acidic and caustic environments. The membrane is suitable for applications requiring high performance and durability in harsh chemical conditions.
FUMATECH BWT GmbH specializes in membrane manufacturing for fuel cell technology and contributes to the hydrogen economy. The company focuses on sustainable water and power supply through advanced membrane technology. It is a long-standing player in multiple hydrogen markets.
