The RZD X Axial On-Off Valve is an advanced valve designed for special applications, featuring a balanced piston mechanism. It offers a streamlined flow path through a full-port expanded body, which minimizes turbulence and prevents erosion and vibration, thereby reducing process downtime and maintenance costs. The valve is compact, with a one-piece body that provides a 15% to 60% weight reduction compared to ball or gate valves, making it especially efficient when combined with spring-opposed actuators. It ensures low pressure loss due to its high capacity, which reduces operating costs for pumps and compressors. The valve is fire-safe, with seals secured inside the body to resist external heat sources, and is certified for fire safety. It is pressure-balanced, allowing it to be opened against full differential pressure without damaging the seal, eliminating the need for bypass valve equalization. The valve is suitable for quick-acting on-off applications such as HIPPS and ESD, severe-duty on-off, flow line and header on-off, and critical isolation, start-up, and blow-down. It also offers excellent sealing, with a self-energizing system that ensures reliable bi-directional and bubble-tight shut-off (class VI). The valve supports a wide range of actuators, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, and electro-hydraulic options, and is ideal for infrequent use due to its consistent operating forces and lack of sticking. It is also certified for low fugitive emissions (tightness class B) and is custom-designed for specific applications.
