DURAG GROUP, a German gas analysis and measurement technology company, supports hydrogen purity monitoring through its subsidiary AP2E's ProCeas gas analyzers, which have been developing hydrogen industry solutions since 2015 and participated in the EU-funded MetroHyVe research project for controlling hydrogen purity per ISO 14687:2019. The ProCeas gas analyzer, based on patented OFCEAS (Optical Feedback Cavity Enhanced Absorption Spectroscopy) technology combined with low-pressure sampling (LPS), monitors trace-level impurities such as CO, HCHO, NH3, H2S, COS, and H2O at hydrogen refueling stations, providing real-time contaminant detection compliant with ISO 14687, EN 17124, ISO 19880, and Northern Lights CCUS specifications with no drift and no recalibration required. SGS France's laboratory in Harfleur uses ProCeas devices to monitor hydrogen purity for mobility applications (grade D, 99.97% purity), quantifying 14 different impurities from ppb to ppm levels in a single sample injection. DURAG GROUP also provides H2-ready combustion control and safety solutions including customized burners, igniters, flame scanners supporting up to 100% hydrogen fuel mixtures, and video/thermography monitoring systems for safe, reliable operation with complex and variable fuel mixtures.
