Anhui Contango New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (branded Shengshui Technology / H2Contango) is a Chinese national high-tech company, established in 2019 in Hefei, providing whole-chain solutions for hydrogen production critical materials and components. The company's flagship products are self-developed catalysts and catalyst-coated membranes (CCMs)/membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) for PEM and AEM water electrolyzers, customizable by catalyst type, electrode loading, active area, and diffusion layer selection. Contango operates two R&D and production centers in Hefei and Shanghai Lingang, holds numerous independent intellectual property rights, and has pursued low-precious-metal and native material research to reduce electrolyzer costs. The company has collaborated with the University of Science and Technology of China and international partners including Chemours and Syensqo on hydrogen materials development.
