Powertrain Vent / Breather – Donaldson

  • The Powertrain Vent/Breather from Donaldson is an integrated venting and filtration solution designed to protect powertrain housings from pressure buildup and external contamination. It equalizes pressure within sealed drivetrain components while preventing the ingress of water, dust, road salt, and other contaminants.
  • Using Tetratex™ ePTFE membrane technology combined with a Synteq™ XP pre-filter, the vent helps maintain long-term performance by preventing oil film buildup and ensuring reliable operation throughout the lifetime of the vehicle.
  • The design supports simplified integration into drivetrain systems through direct screw-fit or hose-fit attachment options, allowing compact installation and flexible integration across different powertrain configurations.
  • Designed for demanding commercial vehicle environments, the vent helps prevent seal failures, over-pressurization, and corrosion caused by condensation or contaminants.
  • Available in two options: Screw-Fit PTV and Hose-Fit PTV Small.
