​Intelligent fixed gas detector for hydrogen applications - MultiTox DG7 Series

  • The fixed gas detector DG7 Series is a group of intelligent gas detectors that employs a wide choice of sensor types.
  • It has the following variants:
    • The DGI -TT7-E is used for Toxic gases or Oxygen monitoring.
    • The DG-TT7-S is a solid-state metal oxide semiconductor.
    • The DG-TX7 employs a pair of OXYCOL catalytic sensors​.
  • The DGi-TT7-E is a MultiTox fixed gas detector is:
    • based on a transducer with electrochemical cell, which requires oxygen to function properly. The measuring principle is based on a redox reaction.
    • In the event of a long period without oxygen, the measurement will not be representative of gases or vapours concentration.
    • The characteristics of the device can also be altered by exposures to high concentrations or by extended periods in hot and dry atmosphere.
  • The DGi-TT7-O is a MultiTox fixed gas detector:
    • is based on a transducer with electrochemical cell. The measurement range is expressed in %vol O2.
    • The measuring principle is based on one of the principle of the oxygen cell.
    • Characteristics of the device can also be altered by exposures to extended periods in hot and dry atmosphere.
  • The DG-TT7-S is a MultiTox fixed gas detector:
    • is based on a transducer with semi-conductor cells, which requires oxygen to function properly.
    • It is used mainly for hydrogen sulphide detection in difficult industrial environment.
    • The measuring principle is based on oxidation and adsorbing reactions on films surface of heated semi-conductor.
  • All DGi-TT7 are constructed from a common housing and electronics with the detection properties being determined by the type of sensor (cartridge) used.
  • A wide range of cells are available which are intrisically safe protected, and may be replaced with the detector powered which minimizes the system down time.
  • The intelligent, microprocessor driven unit is fully configurable using a wireless hand-held terminal (TLU) or by using the hard wired HART option giving true flexibility to the installer and reduced service costs.
  • Elements such as relay operation and alarm levels are all set via the TLU, a hazardous area approved hand-held unit.
  • The unit may be interfaced directly with a wide range of panels, controllers and PLC’s etc.
  • Its integral daylight readable alphanumeric display indicates local status and alarm level.
  • The device has been designed for ease of operation and maintenance.​​
