The HIOKI ALDAS-α (Active Line Device Analysis System) is a high-speed, high-precision Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) measurement system designed for R&D evaluation of electrolysis cells, fuel cells, and cell stacks. The system measures impedance (R, X, θ, Z), voltage, and current across a frequency range of 10 mHz to 100 kHz, achieving a minimum measurement time of 7.6 minutes under specified fast-mode conditions (10 kHz to 0.01 Hz, 30 points). The Source Module applies up to 20.00 A DC output current, enabling high current-density evaluations without an additional booster power supply. A non-contact current sensor method is used in place of shunt resistors, eliminating temperature drift and ensuring stable, high-accuracy measurements down to low frequencies below 1 Hz. The system supports 1 to 8 input channels depending on configuration and can be connected to existing EC/FC evaluation equipment.
