Vent Caps - VC Series

Emcara Gas Development Inc.

Description Vendor
  • Emcara VC Series Vent Caps are stainless-steel, spring-loaded vent caps designed to prevent water and foreign material from entering CNG or Hydrogen PRD systems. They release gas during venting events and reseal for continued performance.
  • VC005 and VC010 are sized for use with Emcara PRDs without reducing the flow rate. VC007 is sized for use with Emcara’s Badger BAV without reducing the overall flow rate.
  • All vent caps must be replaced following PRD activation.

Available Configurations

  • VC005: 1/2” tube (with or without nut & ferrule set)
  • VC007: 3/4” tube (with or without nut & ferrule set)
  • VC009: 3/8” tube (with or without nut & ferrule set)
  • VC010: SAE-8 J1926 Port (nominal 1/2" tube OD)
  • VC014: 3/4” NPT Port
  • VC015: 3/4” tube (with or without nut & ferrule set)
  • VC016: 1” NPT (threads into 1” NPT fitting) 

Use Cases

  • Use with Emcara PRDs without reducing flow rate (VC005 & VC010) 
  • Use with Emcara Badger BAV without reducing overall flow rate (VC007) 
  • Preventing water and foreign material ingress in CNG or Hydrogen PRD systems

Capabilities

  • Releases gas during venting events and reseals automatically 
  • Provides retained pressure below 0.5 bar under specified PRD1 flow conditions (VC005 & VC010) 
  • Compatible with specified tube and threaded connection standards (tube, NPT, SAE-8 J1926)
