Commonwealth Automation's Stack Assembly Press with Resistance Welding is a fuel-cell stack manufacturing machine that combines controlled servo compression with integrated resistance-welding capability. The current system is available with force capacity up to 60 or 80 kN and can include strap insertion clamps, proprietary strap tensioning/forming, an integrated weld head, dry leak-testing and removable alignment clamps. The press can pivot from horizontal to vertical and is designed for safe, repeatable fuel-cell stack assembly and strapping operations.
