The MODEL5000C is a split-type hydrogen transmitter using Hydrogen Sense's palladium-alloy thin-film hydrogen-sensing technology. The compact sensing probe is separated from the signal-conditioning unit by a shielded cable, making the product suitable for confined installation spaces. It measures hydrogen from 0 to 100% vol with published absolute accuracy of ±0.3% vol from 0–10% and ±1% vol from 10–100%, and responds in under 30 seconds. The transmitter supports local concentration display, 4–20 mA output, RS232/RS485 communication and Modbus RTU.

Use Cases

  • Hydrogen concentration monitoring in confined installation spaces
  • Hydrogen production process monitoring
  • Industrial hydrogen gas analysis
  • Fuel-cell system hydrogen monitoring

Capabilities

  • Measures hydrogen continuously across a 0–100% vol range
  • Provides hydrogen-specific measurement with low cross-interference
  • Separates the sensing probe from the electronics for constrained installations
  • Outputs measurement data through analog and digital interfaces
