F-10150-PTFE - Electrolyser Membrane

  • Application in electrochemical processes like water electrolysis and redox-flow batteries
  • High selectivity and chemical and oxidative stability

Add to compare

The F-10150-PTFE is a fluorinated cation-exchange membrane reinforced with PTFE, featuring a thickness of 150 μm. It offers exceptional mechanical stability, high selectivity, and remarkable chemical and oxidative stability. This membrane is specifically designed for electrochemical processes that require cation exchange membranes with high oxidative stability, such as water electrolysis and redox-flow batteries. The membrane is supplied in a dry, non-activated form on a colorless rigid PET backing foil and requires careful handling to avoid damage. It can be activated in-situ within the cell without prior acid pretreatment, or optionally pretreated in an aqueous 10 wt% H₂SO₄ solution at 70–90 °C for at least 6 hours to achieve optimal performance. The membranes high selectivity (>95%) and low area resistance (<1 Ω cm²) make it an ideal choice for applications demanding precision and efficiency.

Use Cases
