F-10100 - Electrolyser Membrane

  • Application in electrochemical processes like water electrolysis and redox-flow batteries
  • High selectivity and chemical and oxidative stability
  • Non-reinforced fluorinated cation-exchange membrane

Add to compare

The F-10100 is a fluorinated cation-exchange membrane designed for electrochemical processes that require high oxidative stability. It features a non-reinforced design with a thickness of 100 μm, offering low resistance, high mechanical stability, high selectivity, and excellent chemical and oxidative stability. This membrane is suitable for applications such as water electrolysis and redox-flow batteries. It is supplied in a dry, non-activated form on a transparent, slightly brown PET backing foil and requires careful handling to avoid damage. The membrane can be pretreated in an aqueous 10 wt% H₂SO₄ solution at 70–90 °C for at least 6 hours to achieve optimal performance. It is important to note that the product is not certified for drinking water applications and requires proper handling and pretreatment to ensure its effectiveness.

Use Cases

  • Water Electrolysis
  • Redox-Flow Batteries

Capabilities

  • High oxidative, chemical, and mechanical stability
  • Delivered dry, can be used with optional acid pre-treatment (10 wt% H₂SO₄, 70–90 °C, 6 h)
  • Selectivity > 90% (in KCl concentration cell)
  • Young’s modulus > 350 MPa, burst pressure > 3 bar
