The BAC-50 Hydrogen Dryer is an automatic dual-tower system designed for the continuous drying of hydrogen gas used to cool turbine generators. It uses regenerative desiccant technology with heat-reactivated desiccant beds and operates automatically without manual regeneration. The system provides continuous dewpoint control and can continue drying while the generator is operating or on turning gear. Internal flow boosters maintain hydrogen circulation, while the closed-circuit regeneration process eliminates the need for hydrogen venting or purging. The BAC-50 uses NEMA 4 purged electrical enclosures for hazardous-area applications and includes a PLC and touchscreen operator interface for dryer status, sequence activity, alarms and maintenance information.
