This dual-servo stack assembly press is designed for automated fuel-cell stack compression, strap forming and laser welding. Commonwealth Automation specifies up to 60 kN constant pressure, programmable stack heights and fully automatic simultaneous strap forming. The current machine is designed to interface with laser-weld equipment and uses a light-sealed enclosure, retracting upper tooling and an automatic safety door. It is suited to production environments requiring repeatable stack compression and automated joining within a guarded manufacturing station.
