RCI DRI Molecular Sieves – Desiccants for Hydrogen Dehydration

  • Molecular Sieves have a crystalline aluminosilicate structure with precise pore sizes between 3 and 9 angstroms depending on the type of the molecular sieve. This allows molecular sieves to selectively exclude adsorption of molecules with diameters larger than their pore size.
  • Molecular Sieves can effectively dry gases to low relative humidities and achieve dewpoints below -60°.
  • If used for water adsorption, Molecular Sieves can be regenerated by a drying procedure, allowing for many cycles of usage.

  • RCI DRI Molecular sieves can be used in combination with Research Catalyst’s Deoxo catalysts to purify Hydrogen in a Deoxo Dryer system.
  • Relatively high capacity for water uptake of around 20% by weight (temperature dependent).
  • Regenerable media allows for years of reuse before needing to be replaced
