The CXT2 Explosion Proof Transmitter is a single-channel transmitter designed for reliable and accurate monitoring of toxic, oxygen, combustible, VOC, or CO₂ gas concentrations in hazardous areas. It can be connected to a controller (FCS), control panel, or BAS/BMS/DDC system. It provides monitoring for toxic, oxygen, combustible, VOC, or CO₂ gases. The device offers a 4–20 mA analog output or a Modbus RS-485 digital output. It is constructed with a cast aluminum explosion-proof enclosure rated to IP66. The transmitter features a color, backlit LCD display that changes with alarm status, a magnetic keypad for navigation, and allows users to change alarm set points, configurations, and enter maintenance mode for non-intrusive calibration. It includes non-volatile memory for storing historical data and a real-time clock for tracking events. The unit requires a 24 VDC power supply, uses non-volatile memory for event logging, and utilizes smart sensor technology. The CXT2 uses Smart Sensor technology, providing sensor life indications and smarter gas detection with simplified solutions and easy calibration. Operating Temperature-40°C to 65°C (-40°F to 149°F) with Arctic Heater (Option -AH) unit operates down to -55°C / -67°F. Optional features include 3 programmable relays (digital models only) and an internal heater for low-temperature applications. It is suitable for various applications such as industrial and commercial buildings, oil and gas industry, utilities, power plants, refineries, deep freezer rooms, chiller rooms, production facilities, and extraction facilities.

Critical Environment Technologies Canada Inc. Critical Environment Technologies Canada Inc. (CETCI), the largest independent commercial gas detection manufacturer in North America, has developed over 100 different gas detection products sold in more than 20 countries, including sensors for hydrogen among a wide range of hazardous gases. The company's ESH-A remote catalytic combustible hydrogen sensor (0-100% LEL range, ~5 year lifespan) integrates with CETCI's cGas digital transmitter and detector systems for continuous monitoring of hydrogen alongside carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, methane, propane, and other combustible or toxic gases. CETCI's gas detection controllers, self-contained systems, and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) monitors serve commercial, institutional, municipal, and light industrial markets including parking facilities, refrigeration plants, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance facilities where hydrogen safety monitoring may be required. The company's gas detectors feature water/dust-tight housing with interior copper coating for RF interference reduction and conform to CSA, UL, CE, EMC, FCC, and IP54 standards for reliable operation in demanding environments.
