The AROS MB HDPE – EX is a graphene-enhanced polyethylene masterbatch configured for extrusion to achieve reduced hydrogen permeability. For the polyethylene-graphene product family, this material reports up to a 41% reduction in hydrogen-gas permeability while retaining its mechanical properties and chemical resistivity. The masterbatch features added electroactivity and excellent dispersibility, ensuring uniform graphene dispersion within the polyethylene matrix. It is designed for extruded polymer components, hydrogen-barrier HDPE extrusions, and pressure-vessel, pipe, or accessory applications. The material can be incorporated as a masterbatch across a range of polyethylene grades while maintaining the structural and chemical-resistance characteristics of the polymer family.

Use Cases

  • Extruded polymer components for hydrogen pressure-vessel, pipe, or accessory applications
  • Hydrogen-barrier HDPE extrusions
  • Extrusion programs requiring a graphene-enhanced polyethylene masterbatch

Capabilities

  • Reduces hydrogen permeation through polyethylene-based components
  • Can be incorporated as a masterbatch across a range of polyethylene grades
  • Maintains the polymer-family mechanical and chemical-resistance characteristics stated for the solution
  • Provides graphene dispersion within the polyethylene matrix
Graphmatech AB Graphmatech develops and supplies AROS graphene-enhanced polymer materials, including polyethylene, polyamide, and treated polymer-powder grades intended for hydrogen-economy components with reduced hydrogen permeability.
