Boyuan Catalysts Technology Co., Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of listed company Lopal Technology (SHA: 603906), mainly produces platinum-carbon and alloy catalysts for fuel cells, mesoporous carbon, iridium oxide and ruthenium-iridium alloy catalysts for PEM electrolyzers, and nickel-iron and platinum-ruthenium catalysts for AEM electrolyzers. In 2020, Lopal and the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, jointly established a joint laboratory for automotive fuel cell catalysts to jointly develop catalyst products.
