The VA 570 is an inline thermal mass flow meter with an integrated measuring section for compressed air and gases. It measures flow, total consumption, and velocity, with freely adjustable units and configurable gas types including compressed air, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide, oxygen, nitrous oxide, natural gas, helium, propane, methane, biogas, and hydrogen (H2). For hydrogen, the datasheet specifies that real gas adjustment D2 is required. The device has stainless-steel wetted parts, negligible pressure loss, a removable measuring head for cleaning or calibration, and optional bus interfaces including Modbus-RTU, Ethernet Modbus-TCP/PoE, M-Bus, HART, Profibus DP, Profinet, and IO-Link.
