The Gas Detector PX2 is a fixed, microprocessor-based gas detector designed for continuous monitoring of ambient air in hazardous areas such as zones 1 and 2. It is capable of detecting combustible gases, vapours, and oxygen, making it suitable for use in industrial environments like the oil/gas industry, petrochemical industry, power plants, and offshore platforms. The device features a tested measuring function for explosion protection and is SIL2 certified for safety functions, including 4–20 mA, RS-485, and relay outputs. It offers optional LCD display functionality and is compatible with PolyGard®2 gas controllers and other automation systems. The detector is ATEX and IECEx certified, with IP66 protection, and includes features such as reverse polarity protection, overload protection, and easy calibration. It is suitable for both industrial and commercial applications, including gas transfer stations, ships, and shipyards.
