The UV/IR Type RFD-2000X-H operates as a hydrogen detecting sensor designed for use in hazardous environments, utilizing a spectral response for both ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) detection. Constructed from stainless steel 316 with physical dimensions of 134(W) x 117(D) x 120(H) mm, the sensor features an IP66/67 and NEMA Type 4X rated housing that ensures performance in harsh industrial conditions. The device delivers a detection range of 15m/49.5ft for n-Heptane and Hydrogen 32Plume across a 90° horizontal and vertical field of view with a typical response time of 5–10 seconds. It functions across an operating temperature range of -40℃ to +75℃, a storage range of -50℃ to +80℃, and relative humidity levels up to 95%. For seamless industrial integration, the unit features proprietary RS-485 communication, a 4–20mA output signal (IR Detection: 8mA ± 0.5mA, UV Detection: 12mA ± 0.5mA, Warning: 16mA ± 0.5mA, Alarm: 20mA ± 0.5mA), and relay alarm outputs rated at 2A at 28 VDC for fire, fault, and warning conditions. The sensor carries FM3260, IECEx, ATEX, and Ex d b IIB+H2 T6 approvals for certified hazardous area deployment.
