The H₂ – High Pressure Sensor HPS is a specialized sensor designed for high-pressure hydrogen applications, capable of measuring pressures up to a nominal pressure of 900 bar. It features a robust construction with a monolithic measuring element without welds, ensuring durability and accuracy. The sensor is engineered for use in hydrogen environments, such as high-pressure hydrogen tanks for mobility, fueling stations, stationary hydrogen storage, and FCEV (Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle) and HICE (Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine) vehicles. It is certified according to EC79 and HGV 3.1 standards, ensuring compliance with hydrogen-specific requirements. The sensor offers high accuracy with a voltage ratiometric output signal, maintaining precision across a wide temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. It is made from fluid-compatible materials, including stainless steel 1.4435, and is designed for long-term reliability with a maximum long-term stability of 0.05% FSS per year. The sensor also includes features such as vibration and mechanical shock resistance, IP6K6K/IP6K7/IP6K9K protection, and a weight of 60 grams, making it suitable for demanding industrial and transportation applications.
