The CXT2 Explosion Proof Transmitter is a single-channel transmitter designed for reliable and accurate monitoring of toxic, oxygen, combustible, VOC, or CO₂ gas concentrations in hazardous areas. It can be connected to a controller (FCS), control panel, or BAS/BMS/DDC system. It provides monitoring for toxic, oxygen, combustible, VOC, or CO₂ gases. The device offers a 4–20 mA analog output or a Modbus RS-485 digital output. It is constructed with a cast aluminum explosion-proof enclosure rated to IP66. The transmitter features a color, backlit LCD display that changes with alarm status, a magnetic keypad for navigation, and allows users to change alarm set points, configurations, and enter maintenance mode for non-intrusive calibration. It includes non-volatile memory for storing historical data and a real-time clock for tracking events. The unit requires a 24 VDC power supply, uses non-volatile memory for event logging, and utilizes smart sensor technology. The CXT2 uses Smart Sensor technology, providing sensor life indications and smarter gas detection with simplified solutions and easy calibration. Operating Temperature-40°C to 65°C (-40°F to 149°F) with Arctic Heater (Option -AH) unit operates down to -55°C / -67°F. Optional features include 3 programmable relays (digital models only) and an internal heater for low-temperature applications. It is suitable for various applications such as industrial and commercial buildings, oil and gas industry, utilities, power plants, refineries, deep freezer rooms, chiller rooms, production facilities, and extraction facilities.
