Fuel Cell Cathode Isolation Valve - CIV

  • Fuel Cell Cathode Isolation Valve (CIV) is used in the cathode path of a fuel cell system.
  • It is designed for an airtight seal of the inlet and outlet of a fuel cell stack when the system is switched off.
  • Due to the airtight seal, the conditions in the fuel cell stack will be constant during a switched off system.
  • This prevents premature aging of the fuel cell stack and enables a quick restart of the fuel cell system.
  • Seals the inlet and outlet of a fuel cell stack system airtightly to minimize leakage.
  • A fail-safe function is included ensuring a safe closing of the fuel-cell stack when needed.
