Add to compare

The MPS 6.0 Ultra Low Power (ULP) Flammable Gas Sensor is a smart flammable gas sensor that detects, quantifies, and classifies flammable gases and gas mixtures. It detects hydrogen and methane, among other flammable gases, over a 0–100 %LEL detection range. The sensor is factory calibrated for its 15+ year life, requires no field calibration, includes built-in environmental compensation and automatic self-testing, and outputs readings through a UART digital interface. It operates from −40 to 75 °C, 0 to 100 %RH, and 80 to 120 kPa, and is intrinsically safe certified.

Use Cases

  • Typically used in hydrogen and related industrial applications.

Capabilities

  • Detects listed flammable gases including hydrogen
  • Classifies gas types including Class 1 Hydrogen, Class 2 Hydrogen Mixture, Class 3 Methane/Natural Gas, and other light, medium, and heavy gas classes.
  • Outputs sensor readings through a UART digital interface.
  • Performs automatic self-checks at power-up and every 4 seconds during operation.
  • Operates over −40 to 75 °C, 0 to 100 %RH, and 80 to 120 kPa.
  • Factory calibrated with no field calibration required.
