Built on the proven GYLON® PTFE platform, STRESS SAVER® GYLON® 3504 combines the chemical resistance of PTFE with a molded sealing profile that improves contact pressure distribution. This ensures robust sealing performance in challenging hydrogen environments, including gaseous systems, mixed media, and cryogenic conditions.

Proven and Certified for Hydrogen Use

GYLON® materials—including STRESS SAVER® GYLON® 3504—have undergone comprehensive evaluation by the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM). The test program “Characterization of polymer materials before and after storage in hydrogen” demonstrated excellent stability and suitability for hydrogen exposure.

Decades of use in hydrogen applications reinforce the reliability of GYLON® PTFE materials, with sealing performance validated through EN 13555 helium‑based testing—providing confidence in tightness for hydrogen’s extremely small molecule size.

Because hydrogen applications are covered under TA‑Luft, the material supports EN 1591‑1 and VDI 2290 calculations, providing mathematical proof of technical tightness for regulated hydrogen systems.
