The BARTEC MODEX 8 is an explosion-protected PROFIBUS-DP relay output module designed for hazardous-area industrial automation systems. In the Ex e version, the module provides 8 relay outputs for activating actuators such as encapsulated solenoid valves, indicator lamps, and other certified consumers up to 6 A. The module communicates with process control systems via PROFIBUS-DP and supports addressing through integrated coding rotary switches. The device features a flameproof clip-on enclosure for TH 35 rail mounting, galvanic isolation, relay status indication LEDs, and RS485 bus interface connectivity.
