The FA 550 is a dew point sensor in a robust die-cast aluminum housing for outdoor dew point measurement and rough industrial environments. It is used for dew point and residual moisture measurement in compressed air and gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, natural gas, and biogas. The sensor supports pressure dew point, temperature, relative humidity, absolute humidity, degree of humidity, moisture content, partial vapor pressure, and atmospheric dew point readings via Modbus. It has an IP67 housing, 4–20 mA analog output, Modbus-RTU, alarm relay, optional Ethernet/PoE and M-Bus versions, and pressure-resistant versions up to 7251 psi.

Capabilities

Measures pressure dew point, temperature, relative humidity, absolute humidity, degree of humidity, moisture content, partial vapor pressure, and atmospheric dew point
Displays dew point in large figures and additional humidity parameters on further display pages
Allows alarm threshold and hysteresis values to be entered through display keys
Allows the 4–20 mA analog output to be freely scaled or assigned to another parameter such as g/m³
Supports standard Modbus-RTU, 4–20 mA active output, and alarm relay
Optional interfaces include Ethernet Modbus/TCP, Ethernet PoE, and M-Bus
