The Flammable Gas Sensor is a smart flammable gas sensor for gas detection and quantification for worker safety and leak detection in drilling, transportation, and production of oil & gas and chemical products. It detects and quantifies over a dozen flammable gases and gas mixtures, including hydrogen and methane, using standard factory calibration. The sensor provides built-in environmental compensation, automatic self-testing for fail-safe operation, intrinsic safety certification, poison resistance, and sensor readings through a digital bus or configurable analog output. It operates over a 0–100 %LEL detection range, with a response time of less than 20 seconds and no field calibration required.

Capabilities

Detects and quantifies listed flammable gases including hydrogen
Classifies gas types including Class 1 Hydrogen, Class 2 Hydrogen Mixture, Class 3 Methane/Natural Gas, and other light, medium, and heavy gas classes.
Outputs sensor readings through a UART digital bus or configurable analog output, depending on part number.
Provides optional industry-standard 0.4 to 2.0 V linearized analog output compensated for temperature, humidity, and pressure.
Operates over −40 to 75 °C, 0 to 100 %RH, and 80 to 120 kPa.
Factory calibrated with no field calibration required.
